Ivan Gitta

Ivan is an advocate of the Courts of Judicature of Uganda having graduated with honors from Makerere University and obtained post graduate training in legal practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda’s only accredited institution for bar exams.

Ivan is dedicated to the firm’s compliance assignments, mainly handling company matters such as incorporation, share transfers, mergers, liquidations and compliance monitoring for our clients.

Lately, Ivan was assigned to the Consulting department of the firm and has been working on the firms various assignments including; development of  an Integrated Tax Administration System  (etax) for  the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) which the firm carried out with M/s TATA Consulting Services (TCS) India and also training several  staff  in Modernizing the Taxpayer Identification System in Bauchi State of Nigeria for the Federal Government of Nigeria under the State Governance and Capacity Building Project (SGCBP) funded by the World Bank among others.

Ivan is Member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.

Ivan is currently pursuing the VAT Compliance Diploma from the Institute of Indirect Taxation (IIT) and also studying for the ACCA charter.
